Has anyone ever seen a ghost? Or know someone who has? If not, any experiences relating to spirits?

Hmm... I have experience with my spirit guides, but anything like ghosts... Well, nothing big, anyway.
Though there was this one time I experienced a ghost. I didn't see it, but... I was in this old house when I lived in Tallahassee, FL (I live in Bozeman, MT now), which belonged to this couple WAY back in the day, and many of the things in it were still good, so they just made it into a museum sort of thing, to show people what the average house was like back then.
I remember being in there at one point, and in one room, I smelled something which smelled kind of sweet, like perfume. I found it odd, but didn't think anything about it.
Well, a couple of years later, I was looking up things online, and just because I was curious and bored, I was looking up local haunted places. Well... that place was listed. And the thing that struck me was that they mentioned that people could often smell the scent of the perfume of the woman that lived there.
I thought that was so cool. And it didn't really freak me out, because, had it been a bad ghost, I would have felt so intuitively. I'm very sensitive to those things.

I've had plenty of experiences with ghosts
T_T they seem to be drawn to me like mice to cheese or something
My first experiences scared the livin' daylights outta me, because I was just a small kid. One house we lived in had a tower-ish thing, in which was my room. And there was a great deal of poltergeist activity in there. The main floor of the house was okay, but my room (the only one upstairs) and the basement were constantly going haywire.
More recently, there was a ghost in my sisters house that she was renting. She was afraid of going upstairs, but wasn't quite sure why. So I went up to see if there was anything up, and it was then that I experienced much the same thing as MinHawk. I smelled the ghost. It was a rancid smell, and just the feeling of her aura made me get nausia.
But we had a friend come over and help in an "exorcism", and all bad vibes were removed.
Of course, my sister was still afraid of it up there...don't know why though >.>

I guess I got lucky that the ghost I experienced wasn't harmful in anyway, and that she smelled good. Flowery smell. That ghost, though, that you experienced, does not sound so pleasant.
She was probably still afraid of it because of what she'd experienced before.

she wasn't pleasant at all >_< though, after the "exorcism" she came back, but then she was of lighter temperment...but then some new creatures kicked her out
thankfully my sister doesn't live there anymore
*nod* you're probably right. Our minds find it hard to let go of bad memories, so the places associated with those experiences are to be avoided just in case, I suppose.

Ick.... I'm glad she got out of there.
Yeah, that was pretty much what I was thinking... about your mind having a hard time letting go of bad memories.

I will now go ahead and say that I have had many experiences with ghosts/spirits. I can often see them a bit in the dark. To me they look like white or grayish energy that takes a somewhat human shape. When I cannot see them, I will sense them.
I have had a few interesting experiences with this. The first was when I was 11 years old. I was oddly spacing out in front of a mirror, when I suddenly, through the mirror, saw a woman standing behind me. The woman had tan skin. At first I thought this was my father, then I realized it was a woman, so I thought possibly my aunt, however, I then realized that she was floating, wearing ancient American Indian clothing, and holding a spear. I thought, 'Oh my god! It's a ghost!' Just as soon as this thought crossed my mind, the spirit was gone.
To this day I still wonder who she was. She looked to me to be from a very ancient Native American nation, as she seemed to be a warrier, and to my knowledge, most American Indian women from more modern nations were not warriers.
The next experience was when I felt the presence of a female spirit in my "playroom". I sensed that she had long dirty blonde hair, kind of wavy, pale skin, a very pale face, either blue or grey eyes, and she wore a long white nightgown, and stood by a closet. Well, maybe a few months later, our housekeeper at the time was in the room helping me clean it. It was late, and we figured we'd cleaned long enough, so I began to walk out. I shut the light as I went, assuming that the our housekeeper would be coming out after me. Suddenly she rushed out in a panic. I asked her what was wrong. I said, "You look like you've seen a ghost". Honest to god, she looked at me terrified when I said this. I then asked, "Did you see a ghost?" She replied that she had, and I asked her to describe the ghost to me. She told me that the ghost was pale, had wavy, dirty blonde hair, wore a white nightgown, had grey eyes, and was female. I asked her where the ghost was standing. She said by the closet.

I haven't had any ghost experiences, at least nothing visual. I've just felt spirits/ghosts before. None of them have really felt that malicious. Though there is this one closet in our apartment, a real small closet outside our bedroom that both Min and I have sensed a darker energy in. The other night I was using a Selenite wand with the "Synergy 12" stones on it to clear it out and felt a presence about me that gave me a major case of the chills, but I continued focusing on putting light into the closet and the presence disappeared. I dunno if that would count, but it's the only experience I can think of.

Oh, so it was a presence, and not just a gathering of negative energy? I knew there was something you weren't telling me. But I agree. There is definitely something up with that closet. Nothing special about it. Just a little storage/coat closet-type thing. Sometimes I get creeped out when I'm home alone too, but that's only sometimes... like, when I start thinking about negative energies/the closet/etc. If I keep my mind off it, I'm fine, usually. Listening to music helps. Especially if I'm hearing the floorboards creak and no one's walking on them. Yep. iPod time, indeed. EDIT: Also, we've been feeling tired and my body feels like... I'm an old lady lately, and I'm only 28. Over the past couple of weeks or so, but I'm not so sure that's related.

I don't think it's related, but I can relate to the strange feelings when here alone. lately I've been playing MP3's while home by myself on days off and such.

Oh, you too? You should have told me this... Communication! Lol! Today wasn't so bad, though. I didn't feel any weird vibes or hear any strange sounds or anything, and although I was listening to my iPod this morning, it was really only because I wanted some music. I am hoping we kicked it out.

I hear creaks and stuff every once in a while, but I just figure it's the wind. I haven't felt anything weird since I went through the apartment with the synergy wand last week.

I've personally only had one "ghost experience", which wasn't very interesting, so I'm posting about other people I know personally who have had cool ghost experiences . My siblings' godmother's sister used to live in Texas, and her best friend was a ghost. No lie, their whole family while vouch for her. His name was Gus, and he had died of a fever and was no older than about ten. She took him everywhere, literally. She would refuse to leave the house without him, so it broke her heart when they moved and she couldn't see him anymore. My other story is about my friend's house. She used to live in a house that was built before the civil war. The family that once inhabited it had slaves that lived in the basement. My friend had two ghosts in her basements who were slaves. You could see them, they weren't shy, and they played music and sang spirituals every night. They would use sticks to bang on pots and pans. Just thought I'd share

Aww... sounds like Gus meant a lot to her. That's really cool, though. Was her her best friend too, before he died? And those other ghosts you mentioned... they sound fun... I'd be tempted to join in on the party.
