A personal favorite scientific series of mine is the "Walking with.." seires. Despite some claims that it's not entirely accurate, I still enjoy watching the shows over and over. Who here has seen the "Walking with.." series? These include: "Walking with Monsters", "Walking with Dinosaurs", "Walking with Beasts", and "Walking with Cavemen". What is everyone's opinion of this series?

I've seen Walking With Dinosaurs... back when I was into them, I watched it. At the time, I enjoyed it, actually. I don't know about any of the others, though, as I have not seen them.

I loved the Walking with Dinosaurs series as a kid, still have the series on video too ^^ second episode and I think it was 3rd episode (the one focusing on the aquatic dinos) were my favourites and of course the final episode with the infamous T-rex.
I watched the odd episode of Walking with beasts, after that I lost track of the other series.

I loved the “Walking with” series, of course I‘m a big science and history person in general so I guess that is not surprising. I think my favorites were the Walking with Prehistoric Beasts and the Walking With Dinosaurs. I just love how they used some fossil evidence to help create a story of how things were.

Well, even if it's somewhat inaccurate, it's good because it is mostly accurate, and gets people interested while educating them. At that though, wherever you heard "innacurrate", they might have meant "not the same theories as we accept". Dinosaurs is another one of those things in science where there is still a bit of speculation: did they have feathers? were they cold blooded? If you make a TV show of that level of detail, you have to pick some un-proved theories and state them as true (or go through each of them, which might have knocked it off where it was supposed to go, just as this post has been) anyway, yeah, I think that was the only one I saw (wow, I think that was back in the late 90s O..O), and I thought it was cool. Another one I liked that was not a "walking with" one (I didn't know that was a series) was the one about the Dragons where they came up with a bunch of explainations and stuff. That was cool I guess...
