Well, I, as most others, had almost fully awakened before I came into the community. I remember before I came in feeling lost and alone, I knew there had to be others, but I didn't know how to find them. One day I was hanging out on WikiFur (I was into wikis) and I came across the article on Therianthropy, and I immediately said "this is me!", and signed up for WereList (RIP) under the pseudonym "Sherlawk Dragon". At first it seemed like I was surrounded by regulars and well-knowns, while I myself still hardly understood what it all was. Soon I went on a long path of searching in bizarre places, looking for things to be mad at, and being dramatic in other silly ways. I calmed down, wised up, and I think I learned alot from that foolishness.

ALOT of ridicule at first, but people who that they "knew it all better". I 'm not sure how someone can know better then someone else about what feels right inside of them. What animals they connect with and what parts of nature they appreciate and feel whole with.
I'm open to many walks of life, and i think there needs to be less judgment on others for not exactly thinking how another does. As time went on, i strayed away from red zone places i knew were full of conflict and ridicule. As i talked to other weres outside most popular communities i felt more at ease. I have yet to be around a group of them yet. I'm really hoping to one day.

Good and bad experiences. Good, in that I have met many friends and have come to realize I'm not really so nuts after all. Bad, because a lot of places are rude and elitist, and like to play dominance games. Hawks don't do that well.

I used to think I was therian a while ago, but I wasn't very happy then, so I decided to give it up. Since then, my mind has felt a lot clearer, and I have been a lot happier. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to be a therian, but I don't believe in reincarnation, so that was one of my problems. Another problem for me was that human and animal souls are different, and not interchangeable. If you're happy being a therian, that's fine, but don't just accept it if it makes you feel unhappy, or you're not sure about it.
