wierd thing is, wolves are usually most common and i'm only one i've seen here that have been on recently, there's more rabbits
Wolf is definitely the most common theriotype here. There is only one other rabbit member, but she is no longer active here and I know her.
Now for my reintroduction, to abide the rules.
What do you wish to be called?Nousagi, please. It's become my online alias which I'm known by all over the internet community.
How old are you?Currently, I'm eighteen. My birthday is October first, so I will be nineteen not too long from now!
Are you male or female, or somewhere in between? In other words, what is your gender identity?I used to struggle with this, but I currently identify as female, both physically and mentally.
Are you a therian? &
What is your theriotype?Yes. I'm a rabbit therian.
How did you come to these conclusions? It was quite a long process, really. I have two articles outlining my initial "awakening" and "reawakening" on my website. They are called
Methrah and
Methrasi if you are interested.
The entire process started back in 2004, and I didn't officially claim my theriotype until mid December of 2007. At the beginning of my journey I jumped to conclusions after only a brief month or two of introspection, claimed my theriotype was cat, which I came to realize in my "reawakening" was really my totem. It didn't take long for high school to absorb me, though, and my "therioside" went into submission. A lot of this time was consumed with self doubt and struggling with normal life itself. But immediately after school let out, a "reawakening" hit in full swing. I took six months of introspection that time to figure myself out, and that entire period was filled with meditation, dream recall, observing, and animal/therianthropy studies.
What kind of influence is your theriotype? In other words, is it an inner influence, and outer influence? Or something else entirely. Please explain!I experience my therianthropy internally. I am rabbit, rabbit is me. There is very little distinction, and only so on the level of my shift. I am not a contherian, however.
Have you ever shifted? If so, what are your experiences with shifting?Let me just go down the list of various shifts. I will bold the ones that I have experienced. I can get much more in depth if requested!
Astral Shift: I have had out of body experiences, but very few and brief, none of which have included astral shifts.
Aural Shifts: I'm terrible at seeing auras, but I have been told by a few trusted people that they have seen rabbit ears. So, I guess this one is a yes.
Dream Shifts: Yes, also very often. As with my normal dreaming habits, I typically experience dream shifts in third person, though have also experienced them in first person.
Mental Shifts: Yes, I experience this daily. It's hard to understand/describe a mental shift without experiencing one yourself, but obviously I experience a different type of mindset in this type of shift, one that doesn't involve verbal language, the desire to do/have human things, and so forth.
Phantom Shifts: I'm constantly phantom shifted into my ears. Then, in decreasing order of occurrence: tail, paws, face, body structure.
Physical Shifts: I have not experienced this, nor do I believe that such a thing is possible at this time.
Shadow Shifts: I have not experienced this, nor do I believe it is possible for phantom or astral energy to be strong enough to block a light source.
Do you consider yourself any particular "type" of therian? In other words, are you a contherian? A syntherian? So on. (If you do not know what these terms mean, that's alright, please let us know.)No, I do not. Though, I may be considered somewhat of a syntherian, as I'm usually always shifted. But not quite.
How long have you known about your therianthropy? When did you come into the community?I've known about therianthropy since 2004, and have been in the community on and off since that time. Note: I first experienced shifts and the like before coming across the term "therianthropy" and the community.
Are you otherkin?According to my definitions, yes. I believe "otherkin" is an umbrella term which includes therianthropy, but I am not anything other than a therian.
What led you to this conclusion? If you are both otherkin and therian, please explain why you feel you are both.N/A
How long have you known about otherkin? When did you realize you are otherkin?N/A
What do you hope to gain from joining our community?I'm a member of several therian/otherkin communities. I enjoy learning, studying, branching out and meeting others, and have the same goal among all the communities that I'm in.
Any questions are most welcome and actually appreciated.
