A little rant about some people online. Thank goodness the people on this forum are so nice! I feel blessed to have a truly good, safe haven for therians here! However, not all places are like that, nor are all "internet people". Just about ten minutes ago, I was speaking with an online "friend". She told me that someone had told her (on a forum) that she should leave them alone, stop messaging them, and that they never want to talk to her again, only in a much nastier way (I don't want to put the exact words due to privacy reasons, although I feel tempted to, since this contact was nasty to me later). Anyway, I respond with my way of helping others deal with a situation like this: "Oh, don't worry about them. They're a jerk. They're probably just trying to piss you off/get you upset. Don't listen to them, because you're only giving them power over you. Sometimes (not often, but sometimes) you'll run into some of these jerks online. It's happened to me before. Just don't let it get to you, even though that's easier said than done." Now, you'd think she'd thank me, right? Or at very least say, "Well, yes, that IS easier said than done, but I'll try to take the advice", right? Nope! Wrong! Instead, she responds with a lovely, "F U" for not "comforting her", and blocks me....how nice! Anyway, while that did piss me off a bit, it's a tad relieving too, frankly. She was always annoying me with this kind of crap. I often would dread talking to her anyway. So that's my rant. -Sekkada

Gah, I've had SO many experiences like this one, I can relate I wonder why some people have issues being polite humans...
Thank goodness for having the Therianthropy Tree around!

I know. Some people just want you to listen and whine and cry and feel sorry for them. She sounds like one.

I was actually on the phone with this person, trying to give them some helpful advice when they interrupted me to say that they'd called me looking for someone to pity them. *sighs*
