It could be a verity of reasons. If this only been happening for a few days or weeks it could be only a ‘lull’ period which (everyone else correct me if I’m wrong) is certainly not unheard of if not uncommon.
Another possibly is that you are experiencing less mental shifts because you are become more ‘in tune’ with the wolf part of you so it is becoming a normal every day part of your mentally and less of an ‘on/off’ mentally (I hope you get my meaning).
There are many more reasons why someone or anyone may begin to experience less shifts. And the two suggestions above are certainty not the only reason of perhaps why.
If I may ask a few questions - How long have be experiencing shifts? How long as this period of experiencing very few shifts been?

Another thing to put in is stress. If a person is stressed, shifts will be put aside. Psychologically, the stressful issue will be put first because it is deemed more important.
I'm wondering the same as Earth Listener.

In that case, it really does make perfect sense for it not to happen. I'm sorry for your loss. I know I would be devastated.
I suggest trying to solve any personal problems and rid yourself of stressors the best you can. Once you get a lot of the "junk" out of the way, then try to relax. Go out with friends and family. Have fun! Enjoy your life. Shifting should then come back out of the blue as if it were never gone. :3
I do not recommend force shifting, because it seems like you have other things that are more important than your shifting issue at this time. This is your body's way of telling you that shifting is not going to help you right now. It will probably be more troublesome than anything. So really, sit back and be at ease knowing that it will come back when you are ready and the time is right.

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help you. :3 altho last night my wolf made an appearance in my dream..from a distant..any insight to this? I believe only the dreamer can correctly interpret the dream, as symbols mean different things to everyone, and the dream came from your head after all.
