Hello, I came here via a link Thylae posted on another site (I recognize a few of you from there). I thought this looked like a good forum to join, so here I am.
My online name is usually ClayCat, but I also go by variations of that name that always begin with "Clay." Feel free to just call me "Clay" if you don't feel like doing extra typing.
I'm a 45 yr old male sculptor living in Seattle, and not new to therianthropy but fairly new to the online community (about 2 years). I've suspected what I was since I was around 13 or 14. I tend to be a loner, but find that I am enjoying communing with others online. My theriotype is medium-sized cat, probably leopard, jaguar, mountain lion or possibly snow leopard. I usually think leopard though, which is why I use that in my avatar (which I will have to set up shortly). I came to know this through an affinity I share with felines, a temperament very similar to felines, dreams, and the fact that I have an instinctive love for feline young, and only feline young.
My theriotype influences pretty much everything I do, except, perhaps, things like balancing my checkbook
So I would consider it an inner and outer influence (not sure I understood that question correctly, so admins feel free to ask for clarification if I got it wrong). As my mental state doesn't shift much (I feel mostly feline all the time, but can act human because I need to), my experiences with shifting are of the physical variety on the astral plane, mostly through lucid dreams.
I am also Sanguinarian, and am active on several vampire boards. I didn't figure out this aspect of myself too long ago (in 30s) when I developed a stronger craving for blood and certain physical problems I had (such as skin and eye sensitivity to sunlight) became more pronounced. I have always been nocturnal in nature.
I am not active at this time on many Therian forums, and am hoping to remedy that, but am selective on which forums I want to join. I'm interested in serious discussion, good fun and fellowship, and minimal drama.
