I found this essay off of a link by Mr Kreepy on Monstrous. It's a MUST READ for ANYONE in ANY Occult community (that includes the therianthropy and otherkin communities), about what you say to others, and what you should avoid.

Well, this is my first community, and I think I only have one friend who thinks she's something she's not. (I'm slowly coaxing her out of her denial.) But still, you're probably right. I've probably met a few individuals possibly even in the 'normal' population that have that exact problem, but didn't realize it...
