Since we are finally becoming active, we need to begin brainstorming ideas for the forum rules. Members, what rules do you think this site should maintain?

Yeah. I'm BIG on no flaming. I've been flamed too many times for no reason (though very long ago) that flaming is something I'm firmly against. And this may just be me, but... Serious posts, aka, no role playing unless there's a forum/thread designated for it. As in... not pretending to be something you aren't, and being completely honest. And... correct spelling and grammar. Not that people can't occasionally misspell a word, but they should at least try, rather than say, using "txt tlk" constantly. Know what I mean? Not that anyone has to be perfect - just that they have to try. And while I don't think that every post needs to be really long (because sometimes a thought can be very well conveyed in one sentence), but things like two word posts should be kept at a minimum. But... that's just me. I know you're just starting out, but perhaps eventually, explanation of the rules would be good. It just kind of helps you to state things in such a way that people know what you mean. If you decide to do that, and need help with that, just ask.

Thank you for the suggestions. Also good ideas. Yes, I will elaborate a little more.

Another thought might be requirements for introductions. What should the introduction requirements be?

Hmm... requirements? I've never really seen introduction requirements before, although, if you want them, no problem. Maybe... as long as people don't post something stupid like, "Hi, I'm Joe... Wuzzup?"

Well, I think it is important for people to make informative introductions, as well as introduce themselves in the first place.

True. I wasn't objecting, just stating that I hadn't seen rules on them before, and it was harder for me to judge what good rules would be, aside from the obvious. BTW... the rules page is starting to look good.

Oh, I know you weren't objecting. I was just stating my reasons.
Thanks about the rules page.
