Ahh, lovely; looks like just about everyone from Trueform joined XD
My name is Madd; I'd love to have a pretty, unpronounceable name to use around the Internet, but I like short names. It keeps things simple and to the point. The intro I have for you here is simplified. Large unnecessary portions that Awereness forums wanted (It was four pages long D:) were cut and replaced with a sentence that summarizes the same thing, yet saving your eyes and attention span ;3
Surprisingly, I'm a fairly simple creature myself. I'm a scrawny thing from Michigan who likes her fingernails long and her hair uncombed. I enjoy art, music, acting, biology, dreadlocks, and tuba playing.
Onto the therian part, now!
I've loved animals since childhood, and in 2002, when my interests shifted to Harry Potter and werewolves, I ran across the term therianthropy thanks to a Google search. I didn't think much of it until I found a small community of them within Neopets; I was quite astounded. I was invited, and I had found therianthropy.
I stuck with just the wolf title until 2005, when I came across dire wolves. They explained the obvious bigness I felt on the inside (I'm currently only 5'3 and a solid 110 pounds, I felt it lots ) and scavenging impulses, and the time period I felt a connection to; the last Ice Age. She was a brown, sturdy wolf I came to call Dusty, who appeared with a torn right ear, and my olive green eyes.
So I was a dire wolf until November 26, 2007, when she left. I dropped the therian title. I was cold and empty inside so I left the therian community in an attempt to get back to my roots and examine my animal choices again. Only a week after, a good friend of mine came into possession of the Werelibrary, and I ended up reading and categorizing essays with her to help her out, thus unable to keep my mind of therianthorpy. I was coaxed back after only a month.
So I'm here now to gain a wider perspective of the term and take a different approach. I'm still throwing around ideas in my head, and joining bunches of forums may help me find answers. Meet some new people, some new ideas.
(Hope this also wasn't unnecessarily long too >.>)
Nice to meet you all :3
