Hi. I am Kirski. I just turned 20 years old. I have known that I was atleast one kind of therian for about 15 years until about a year ago when another theriotype presented itself. I am tiger and wolf. I am Otherkin as well.
I haven't been involved in many therian communities but I do like to read about other people's experiences and see how mine relates to theirs.

I kind of started to play wolf when I was little and had a sense of a pack with my friends as I grew up. I have only two constant friends that I would consider pack although they aren't wolf at all. One is lion and the other is fox. Tiger slowly came into the picture when I started to live on my own. I started to have the feel of a big cat when I slept in a reclining chair on my stomach, completely stretched out. From there I searched until one kind of big cat felt right.

Sleeping on a reclining chair on your stomach doesn't make you a therian. Playing animals when little doesn't either. However, if it feels right, it may be. Did you research as well?

When I was about three or four, I'd tell everyone I was a bird. I was unsure as to the type of bird, but I loved birds, learned as much as I could about them even at that age, and dammit, I was a bird! I guess you mean that aside from imagining you were a big cat, you felt as if you were one, too?

I too was absolutely and irreversably convinced as a child that I was a wildcat AND a horse. Though I didn't go around proclaming my horse as much as I did my cat. (there's a reason that all the boys that knew me in grade school call me cat lady when they see me and usually run away screaming "Watch out! She's gonna start sharpening her claws so she can kill us all!" XD ) Through my experiences as a therian and with other therians, this IS usually how therianthropy presents itself to us. *shrug* if it feels right, it often is right. Gut feelings often go past what logic tells us.
Anywho, welcome to the tree, Kirski, pleased to meet you ^_^

I meant that it wasn't just the play or the position but that it was the feel of being those animals. Those were just the times that I have known to be the first times that either showed themselves to me. I started to research about wolves and possiblities of what was happening to me when I was fifteen. As I said I just recently started to research about tiger. Those feelings of wolf and tiger are gut feelings. Constantly I feel shifts that have nothing to do with humans and everything to do with wolf or tiger.

Okay I understand. Just to nit pick though, therianthropy is a human condition. You are human, so your shifts, while they may have to do with wolf and tiger, also have to do with being human, of course.

Of course, although sometimes I feel as if they have nothing to do with humans.

Hello!
In a way, I'm jealous of you early starters. Though it may be a biased perception, it seems like becoming aware that there are others like us and all that comes as less of a surprise to people like you. :3
