Cougar?

Okay... although I like cats (as I do all creatures), there has never been any tiny little bit of felinity (if that's a word) in me.

Yet Cougar has shown up recently, and if anyone has any good information on it, I'd like to know. I'm highly curious, as I've never had a totem like this one before. So far, what I am seeing is that it pertains to leadership. But I am no leader.

From my experience, as well as what I have read, totems show up not when you ARE something, but when you NEED TO BE something. In this case, you may need to take a leadership role. Look at your life, and see where leadership is needed. I know that you recently started a forum. Maybe couger is there to guide you in making your forum a success.

Also, just a note: Birds and cats in some ways are very similar. Might want to look at that too. Not saying that you are a cat at all, merely that couger could be a certain symbol relating to your hawk theriotype.

Well... I can't really think of any way in which I need to be any sort of leader or anything. Maybe with the forum, but that's the only thing I can think of. The main reason I'm not so sure if the forum will make it is I really am not sure how to get members. I've tried posting in LJ, here, etc... it does a little good sometimes, but not much. And there are so many long periods in which no one posts anything at all. And I'd love to post some interesting things/topics, etc., but I just can't think of anything good. Let alone, many good things.

I do know that I have issues in being assertive and people don't really see much in me at all, I don't think. And I don't see much in myself. And my feelings are rarely taken into consideration by other people. And so I hide them even more.

I did stand up to that jerk at work recently, though. And the funny thing is, I didn't do it in anger like I normally would have... I did it by making him look silly, by laughing at him and being witty.

Hehe... in reading about Cougar, I did notice one thing: that often others will try to bring Cougar people down, attack them, think less of them, harass them, etc. And the funny thing is, I once read that about Hawk... and it's something that's true of my whole life, regardless of where it comes from. That's kind of funny... similarities, when so many people think of cats and birds as enemies.

I dunno... just random ramblings here.

Ah, that's alright. Little things like that can be why a new totem will show up. Definitely sounds like cougar makes sense.

I definitely think that cougar's around to help you were he can. Cougars are for courage, strength, leadership, and desiciveness. What I've noticed with my totems is that they show up a while before they are actually needed (Sort of a heads up). So perhaps there could be something up in your future?

Yeah... I've noticed that, too... that they do show up before needed... kinda like, they show up, have some kind of message, and then they leave, often before anything starts happening. At least, it seems they leave - they are quiet after that point. And then, things start happening. And being that Cougar's being quiet now, I think... maybe things will start changing soon.
